Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what information AllRecentArrests.us collects when you use our site, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have over your data.

AllRecentArrests.us ("we," "us," "our," or "the Company") operates a free public-records platform that helps people locate inmates, look up prison and jail facilities, and access publicly available correctional information. This Privacy Policy describes our practices for the website at https://allrecentarrests.us and all of its state subdomains. It works alongside our Terms and Conditions.

By using AllRecentArrests.us, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy. If you do not agree with it, please discontinue use of the site.

1. Scope of This Policy

This Policy covers information handled through our website. It does not cover the underlying public records themselves — arrest, booking, and inmate data originate from federal, state, and county government sources and are governed by the laws and agencies that create them. For details on where that data comes from, see our Data Sources page.

This Policy also does not apply to third-party websites we link to. Once you leave AllRecentArrests.us, the privacy practices of the destination site apply.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only what we need to operate the site. This falls into three groups:

a. Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our servers automatically log basic technical data each time you visit, including your IP address, browser type and version, device and operating system, referring page, the pages you view, and timestamps. This helps us keep the site running, diagnose errors, and protect against abuse.

b. Information you provide

If you submit our contact or data-removal form, we collect what you enter — typically the profile URL you want removed, and optionally your name, email address, and any details you add. If you email us directly, we receive your email address and message.

c. Information from cookies and analytics

We and our partners use cookies and similar technologies to understand how the site is used and to serve advertising. See Cookies & Tracking below.

We never ask for sensitive personal information. Do not send us Social Security numbers, financial account details, passwords, or government ID numbers — we do not need them and will not use them.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the website;
  • Process and respond to contact messages and data-removal requests;
  • Detect, prevent, and investigate abuse, scraping, fraud, and security incidents;
  • Understand aggregate traffic and usage patterns so we can improve the experience;
  • Display advertising that helps keep the platform free to use;
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use the contact details you submit for marketing.

4. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device that let a website recognize your browser on return visits. We use cookies to keep the site functional, remember basic preferences, and measure traffic. Our advertising and analytics partners may also set their own cookies.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can set your browser to refuse cookies entirely. Some features of the site may not work properly if cookies are disabled. By continuing to use AllRecentArrests.us with cookies enabled, you consent to their use as described here.

5. Advertising & Analytics

AllRecentArrests.us is free to use and is supported by advertising and affiliate partnerships. To provide these, we rely on the following partners:

Google uses cookies, including the advertising cookie, to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info.

6. How We Share Information

We share information only in the limited circumstances below:

  • Service providers — analytics, advertising, and hosting partners that help us run the site, bound by their own policies.
  • Legal requirements — when required by law, subpoena, court order, or to respond to lawful requests from public authorities.
  • Safety and enforcement — to protect the rights, property, or safety of AllRecentArrests.us, our users, or the public, and to enforce our Terms.
  • Business transfers — if the site is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, information may transfer as part of that transaction.

We do not sell, rent, or trade the personal information you submit to us.

7. Third-Party Services & Links

Our site contains links to third-party websites and services — including government record portals, our background-check partner, and advertisers. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any website you visit through a link on AllRecentArrests.us.

8. Data Retention

We keep server logs only as long as needed for security and operational analysis. Information submitted through our contact and removal forms is retained only as long as necessary to process and document your request, and removal-request records are deleted within 90 days of completion. Public records aggregated from government sources are retained until they are updated at the source or removed under our record removal policy.

9. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the information we handle against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You submit information to us at your own risk.

10. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information — such as the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell it). U.S. residents in states with privacy laws, including California residents under the CCPA/CPRA, may exercise these rights by contacting us.

To make a privacy request, email tom.david@allrecentarrests.us. We may need to verify your identity before acting on certain requests. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

11. Record Removal Rights

We support every individual's right to request removal of their public-record profile from AllRecentArrests.us. We remove valid requests within 30 days, at no charge and without requiring proof of expungement.

Use the removal form, not email. Submit your request through the data removal form with the exact profile URL. Removal requests sent by email are not tracked or processed. After removal, cached copies may persist in Google or Bing results for up to 90 days — use the search engine's own removal tool to speed that up.

12. Children's Privacy

AllRecentArrests.us is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

13. Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. Because there is no industry-wide standard for interpreting DNT signals, our site does not currently respond to them. You can still control tracking through the cookie and advertising choices described above.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or the law. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes may be highlighted more prominently. Your continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
